As we embrace the opportunities and challenges of 2025, MIED remains committed to fostering educational excellence and empowering the Malaysian Indian Community. Building on the successes of previous years, we remain committed to supporting deserving students in their pursuit of higher education, both locally and internationally.

This year marks another milestone for MIED’s ongoing mission to create meaningful pathways for talented individuals to realize their academic aspirations. Our focus remains on nurturing future leaders who will contribute positively to society and the nation. Through the continued disbursement of scholarships, we aim to remove financial barriers and provide equitable access to quality education for all deserving students.

On the 14th June 2025, MIED proudly hosted its annual Cheque Presentation Ceremony at the prestigious Great Hall, AIMST University, Sungei Petani, Kedah. This event was a heartfelt celebration of hope, progress, and community solidarity. A total of RM 18,030,100.00 was disbursed through scholarships to support 726 AIMST students from diverse income categories – M40, B40, and T4,0 ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their educational pursuits.

The ceremony was officiated by YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri SA Vigneswaran, Chairman of MIED & AIMST University. In his keynote address, Tan Sri emphasized the importance of education as a catalyst for social mobility and national development. He personally presented scholarship cheques to the recipients, an inspiring gesture that underscored the collective commitment of MIED, AIMST University, and the wider community development.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including parents, students, members of the MIED Board of Trustees, representatives fromthe  MIC Central Working Committee, and the management and staff of MIED. Their presence exemplified a shared resolve to uplift the Malaysian Indian community through education and community development initiatives.

As we celebrate this achievement, MIED remains committed to expanding its reach and impact. We will continue to seek partnerships, innovative programs, and sustainable solutions to support the educational aspirations of Malaysian Indian youth. Our goal is to nurture a new generation of leaders equipped with knowledge, skills, and values to drive positive change.

The 2025 Cheque Presentation Ceremony is more than just an event; it is a testament to the collective efforts of educators, community leaders, families, and students. Together, we are sowing seeds of hope and building a brighter future for the student at a time.
